Hawks Youth Cheer Program Information
Welcome to Hawks Youth Cheer
Hawks Youth Cheer is a developmental cheer program operated through La Pine Sports Academy (LPSA). Our mission is to provide athletes with a positive, structured, and team-focused environment where they can build confidence, leadership, athletic skills, and school spirit while preparing for middle school and high school cheer programs.
We focus on:

Athletes of all experience levels are welcome.
Program Divisions
Tiny Hawks
Ages: 4–5
Introductory cheer program focused on fun, movement, confidence, and basic cheer fundamentals.
Registration Includes:
Mini Hawks
Grades: K–2
Developmental sideline cheer program introducing motions, chants, jumps, teamwork, and performance fundamentals.
Registration Includes:
- Bow
- Team pins
- Insurance
- Facilities
Parent-Provided Items:
- Skirt
- Optional team shirt (depending on season)
Youth Hawks
Grades: 3–5
Athletes continue developing sideline, performance, and beginner competition skills.
Registration Includes:
- Poms
- Bow
- Insurance
- Facilities
Parent-Provided Items:
- Shoes
- Shell
- Skirt
- Team shirt
Junior Hawks
Grades: 6–8
Advanced developmental cheer program focused on leadership, stronger technique, sideline cheer, and competition preparation.

- Skirt
- Team shirt
Senior Hawks
Grades: High School
Leadership-focused division designed to support advanced sideline and competition cheer development.
Season Structure
Fall Cheer Season
Typically runs:
August – October
Activities may include:
- Football sideline cheer
- Community events
- Pep rallies
- Team performances
Winter Cheer Season
Typically runs:
October – February
Activities may include:
- Basketball sideline cheer
- Competition preparation
- Game Day events
- Cheer competitions
Tentative competition schedule:
- November
- December
- January
- February
Competition opportunities may vary by division and participation numbers.
Athlete Placement
Athletes may move up one division level only, pending:
- coach approval
- athlete readiness
- roster availability
This policy is primarily used for:
- sibling placement
- developmental opportunities
Athletes may not move up more than one division.

Our goal is to help athletes build habits and skills that prepare them for future school athletics and leadership opportunities.
Parent Expectations
Parents and guardians are expected to:
- demonstrate positive sportsmanship
- support all athletes
- respect coaches, officials, and volunteers
- allow coaches to coach during practices and games
- help create a positive team environment
LPSA maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, and disruptive behavior.

We are always looking for volunteers to help grow Hawks Youth Cheer.
Volunteer opportunities include:

- Event/Fundraiser Support
- Tournament Support
All volunteers must complete any required background checks and follow LPSA policies and code of conduct.
Fundraising & Sponsorships
Fundraising opportunities may be offered throughout the season to help support:
- competitions
- equipment
- team activities
- future program growth
- facility improvements
Community sponsorships are always appreciated.
